Set Minimum Duration for a Course

To set a minimum duration for your learners to complete a course, for example for the Responsible Sale and Service of Alcohol (Scotland) Tayl course :


  1. Head to the Create Area
  2. Published Courses
  3. Select the Course Title
  4. Click on Settings
  5. Type the number of minutes under the Minimum Duration field.

The learner will then only be able to complete the course once the minimum duration has been met.  A course duration timer is visible to the learner throughout the course.  If they complete the course before the minimum duration is up, then they will be prompted to return to review the content in more detail.
